Despite it denied the reports to shelf the Nokia's much-talked about Normandy in market, the so called Nokia's first Android phone is rumored to be alive and could see the daylight soon, revealed in a report. “The reports of Normandy's death have been greatly exaggerated” - said the report.
In a bid to put a complete full stop in furthermore speculations, the report claimed that the earlier rumors saying Nokia Normandy will not see the light are grossly incorrect as the phone is still in development. Although the website does not shed much light on the recent developments made in regards to Normandy.
As it came in media reports very openly last weeks, Nokia Normandy is the said to be the company's first Android-based working phone. Now what would be interesting to see is whether Normandy can be released ahead of the completion of the Microsoft deal. And that too when Nokia can neither license the 'Nokia' brand for use in connection with mobile device sales nor use the brand on its own mobile devices for a specific period.
Also, as the report suggests, Nokia's step of coming with an Android phone is inspired by Amazon's idea of making an Android version of Kindle Fire tablet. As it is being seen as an extension of Asha series phones, an economy Normandy is expected to come with a physical back button on the front panel.
